Consideration is “Sweet Talk”

One of the most undiscovered and undelivered elements of outstanding marriage relationships is showing consideration, showing thoughtfulness.

One wife told me about the date her husband planned. He slipped out the back door, came around and rang the front doorbell and presented her with a bouquet of roses! His wife blushed with joy as she retold that story.

Consideration is just such "sweet talk." It's opening doors, helping around the house (without being asked), and never forgetting birthdays and anniversaries and Mother's Days. Consideration is not being critical, not being cruel or hurting feelings, it's thinking ahead to avoid frustration, it's phoning when you see you're going to be late, it's calling home when you're out of town, and it's picking up after yourself!

Consideration. It works wonders. I double-dog dare you to give it a try, and I guarantee it'll make life work a little better for you today!
