What Are Your Priorities of Life?

Our lives are filled with so many urgent activities, we have little room for the important ones. Most of us attend to the urgent things first—appointments and phone calls and music and work and ball games and meetings.

But when we get through with the things that have to be done, we find that there’s no time left for the important things—Bible reading, prayer, devotion, meditation. No time to develop a personal relationship with our spouse and our children.

One cure: list the top five priorities of your life (and don’t allow yourself to scattershot to other interests, because you’ll probably never complete all of your to-do list), then work from the top of your list. At the end of the day, you may not have accomplished all five, but you’ll have the most fantastic satisfaction of knowing you did the very most important things.
