“He put Jesus Christ in his life and he found himself.”

Overcoming Restlessness

Mel Renfro played for the Dallas Cowboys from 1964 to 1977. He was recently inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. This happened after two previous nominations in which he did not receive enough votes. Mel’s life has a come a long way. He says not being chosen those first two times really hurt him and his family.

Just recently, Mel has placed his life under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Tom Landry, Mel’s former Cowboy coach, said: “When Mel’s career was over, he moved all over the country because he was restless. Then he put Jesus Christ in his life and he found himself.” But now spends his days trying to make the Bridge Center, a Christian based community, a reality for kids in Portland, Oregon. He does this so kids can know Jesus Christ.

Have you been restless all of your life? Is it time for you to put Jesus Christ in the center of your life? If you do, you’ll find yourself!
