What starts out as a pet vice can end up choking us to death.

Choking Habits

Grant Williams, of New York City, bought a pet python for 300 dollars. It turned out to be a very very costly purchase. You see, last October, a neighbor discovered that Grant had been choked to death by his pet python.

The pet python had wrapped itself around Grant’s neck. Because the python mistakenly had picked up the scent of a live chicken on his owner and strangled him.

Do we take in a few pet vices and end up finding them choking us to death too? Maybe you’re taking a few drinks at night to relax and all of sudden find yourself taking more and more and rather than relaxing you, it’s choking the life out of you! Or maybe you’re spending more and more time with someone who "really understands" you because you can’t talk to your spouse. Then all of sudden you realize it’s developing into a full blown affair. You see, what starts out as a pet vice can end up choking us to death.

Be aware of the dangers and realize that Jesus would love to help you through this time of temptation. I would too! If you need someone to talk to, drop me a note.
