Touched by an Angel

There's an Angel
in the Corner of My Room

There’s a presence in this room I cannot explain,
An unseen friend, a comforter to ease a child’s pain.
I don’t know who you are, but I know you’ve been near
From the first time this little girl whispered in my ear...

There’s an angel, in the corner of my room.
He’s waiting there to take me home, to God’s heavenly throne.
And sometime, by the light of the moon,
I think that I can see him smile.
He whispers “Just a little while, and we’ll be home.”

Like water through my fingers, I watch you slip away.
In a moment I would take your place if there was any way.
I feel a hand upon my back. When I turn, no one’s there,
Then her words fill my heart again, the answer to my prayer.

There’s an angel, in the corner of my room.
He’s waiting there to take me home, to God’s heavenly throne.
And sometime, by the light of the moon,
I think that I can see him smile.
He whispers “Just a little while, and we’ll be home.”

I’m not afraid. I’m not alone.
He’s only come to lead me home.
There’s an angel, in the corner of my room.
He’s waiting there to take me home, to God’s heavenly throne.
And sometime, by the light of the moon,
I think that I can see him smile.
He whispers “Just a little while, and we’ll be home.”

Amy’s song was written for 10 year old Amy Krazer. A few months before her battle with cancer ended, she spoke of seeing angels in her room. We believe she did, and she is with them and the Father now.
