The Dynamic of Shared Concerns

So often, we have it exactly backwards! We think, “I can’t let people see the real me because they won’t like what they see and I must keep my sins hidden!” And that’s just the opposite of what the Bible teaches us. The Good Book tells us to confess our sins to one another and pray for one another, so we can be healed.

Each of us needs a prayer group or some special one to whom we are accountable. A place where we can be transparent, where the real me can be known, a place where unconditional love can be evident. Because we don’t want to wonder, “Would they still love me if they knew the real me?”

Find someone, some trustworthy person with whom you can pray regularly. The dynamic of sharing, of bringing your heart’s concerns before the Father will bless your life in amazing ways.

Let’s make the rest of the day work a little better by devoting yourself to prayer with someone who shares your faith.
