    You know, the way God works and the way we work is exactly opposite.

    We tend to focus on our actions, the things we do, while Christ focuses on us, and the way we are. We want to work from the outside in, but God works starting with the heart—working from inside out. We try hard from without, but God transforms from within.

    Our problem is that we keep trying to maintain our natural selves and our desires intact, and try to use Jesus as an addition or a coating over ourselves. But Christ comes deep within, working in our hearts and in our souls to transform us to think the way he thinks.

    Listen to his voice. Let him have his way. And then we can become not a mask or just a reflection of Christ, but ’little Christs.” Not perfect, but transformed from within!
