Are you making a living? Or are you making a life?

Making a living is not a bad thing to do. In fact, we’re told in the Bible to provide for our own. God made us for work. He gave us muscles and sinew and a mind, and he gave us work to do that would improve things and help others, especially our families.

Making a living is what we get, but making a life is determined by what we give. It’s only when we spend our life giving — giving our time, our money, our energy, giving our service — that’s when we really learn what life’s all about.

Just open the pages of the New Testament and read the first four books. They are all different accounts of the same person, Jesus Christ, who came and gave completely for us.
