Dr. Paul FaulknerChange, by Dr. Paul Faulkner   Real Audio

Dr. Koop, former Surgeon General of the United States, said in a speech not long ago that those of us who are older need to remember that no one is ever too old to make lifestyle changes. They can be beneficial to your health, he said. We all know that’s true, don’t we?

Preventing disease is cheaper and more effective; it’s just not as glamorous as some of the “miracle cures.” It requires thinking ahead and developing good habits. Some of us don’t like to have to do anything ahead of time! We’d just rather wait until we catch the disease, so we wait until we’re way overweight, or we neglect exercising until it’s too late. And then we want a quick cure, a quick fix!

Well, it’s never too late to change. And the thing to remember is, God is there to help you when you make that decision.
