Dr. Koop, former Surgeon General of the United States, said in a speech not long ago that those of us who are older need to remember that no one is ever too old to make lifestyle changes. They can be beneficial to your health, he said. We all know thats true, dont we?
Preventing disease is cheaper and more effective; its just not as glamorous as some of the miracle cures. It requires thinking ahead and developing good habits. Some of us dont like to have to do anything ahead of time! Wed just rather wait until we catch the disease, so we wait until were way overweight, or we neglect exercising until its too late. And then we want a quick cure, a quick fix!
Well, its never too late to change. And the thing to remember is, God is there to help you when you make that decision.
