Thanks for joining us in ToGather.church! May our time in song, prayer, Communion, praise, and Scripture bless you as we join with God's people from all around the world. (Find out more.)

Opening with Praise in Word and Song:

Our prayer-blessing for each other comes from 1 Thessalonians 3:13:

May [the Lord] strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones. [Amen.]

Our emphasis in ToGather.church today is offering our hearts to God so that our loving Abba Father can guide us to living a productive life that blesses others. We want to have hearts that are open to God's truth and wisdom. So, O God, we each say to you, "Here's My Heart" and we ask you to speak truth as we wait expectantly on your loving guidance. We join Lauren Daigle as she leads us:

Focusing on the Scriptures:

Living passionately as we open our hearts to God's will is the emphasis from Verse of the Day:

The wise are glad to be instructed,
but babbling fools fall flat on their faces.

(Proverbs 10:8 NLT)

To lead us into Phil's message, we will sing "Build My Life" with Pat Barrett:

We choose whether we have a heart that is open to God's instruction or that is resistant and rebellious. Let's join Phil as he reminds of the importance of this choice and the reason we can trust ourselves to God's commands:

God demonstrated his love for us by sending Jesus and gave us his "Blessed Assurance" that we are his beloved children. Let's celebrate this assurance as we sing with the Walkers to Heaven:

Sharing The Supper:

Paul emphasized that the gospel was centered in Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:1-7). We shared in that good news when we were baptized with Jesus in faith (Romans 6:3-7) and were made God's children by the Holy Spirit (John 3:3-5; Titus 3:3-5). Not only do we know the love of God through this gospel, but we also have participated in it. And, we get to share in that gospel as we take the Lord's Supper and remember Jesus' death on the day of his resurrection! To prepare our hearts for sharing Communion, we will sing "Surrounded (Fight My Battles)" with Upperroom:

We commit to passionately live for God as we open our hearts to his will.

Randy Yarbrough reminds us in our Communion reflection that we are blessed to be a blessing just as Jesus has blessed us:

Closing with Commitment:

We have been made holy and adopted into God's family to share the good news of our Father's love for all people so they, too, can know his love and be saved:

[Y]ou are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light (1 Peter 2:9).

We close our time of ToGather worship with the song "Send Me Lord" as we are led by Matt Redman and commit to sharing the grace we have received:
