ToGather: New Frontiers of Grace through Obedience (November 8, 2020)

Our Verse of the Day comes from Deuteronomy:

Observe therefore all the commands I am giving you today, so that you may have the strength to go in and take over the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess, and so that you may live long in the land the LORD swore to your ancestors to give to them and their descendants, a land flowing with milk and honey (Deuteronomy 11:8-9)

But doesn't obedience imply something harsh and hard?

Doesn't obedience mean that we are limited and have to give up our will and our freedom?

These are lies of the devil to entrap us in his bondage! We believe in the Lord's goodness and grace. We trust that obeying the LORD opens our lives to the new frontiers of his grace!

In this week's ToGather.church, Demetrius has several moving songs that lead us to offer our hearts and wills to God because of his grace. Rubel Shelly shares a communion reflection focused on Jesus meeting us as his family in the Lord's Supper. The message reminds us that obedience a blessing for us and a means of God's protection and grace. When we obey, God opens up the new frontiers of his grace that we can only discover as we live to honor our Father's will.

We trust that obeying the LORD opens our lives to the new frontiers of his grace!
We invite all who worship on Sunday in the Eastern Hemisphere, along with all who keep Sabbath, to join us.
