We cannot say emphatically enough how important you are to our online ministry. November is always a time of great appreciation for your prayers and financial support as well as your many notes of encouragement. These are not empty words. Your support in each area is precious to us! In this message you will find two areas of important information:

First, we want to give you the opportunity to help support our ministry. We only have a donation drive twice per year (June and November), and they are very important to our ongoing reach into the world. We are blessed to touch somewhere around 340,000 people each day in over ten languages. Your support is especially important to help us as we try to increase our expansion into Asia (see our update below). Second, we want to alert you to three specific opportunities for ministry expansion and focus:

A. April 3, 2016 will be our 20th Anniversary of being online. To celebrate this, we are doing a complete site overhaul for our parent site – Heartlight.org – to make it more focused on our core ministry competencies – devotionals, articles, and Scripture graphics. It will be more user-friendly across all sorts of devices so that you can get the full website experience with our without using our Heartlight app.

B. Focus on expansion into Asia has been a high priority for us. Phil will be helping with a men's missionary support conference in Asia in 2016 and has made repeated trips there. One of the great blessings is a daughter in the faith, Karen, who has begun the translation of Verseoftheday.com into Chinese. She is a native of China, became a Christian in Thailand, and was a Japanese major in college. Karen is currently in the US and will be helping with a ministry to Chinese grad students as well as working with us on our Asia expansion and influence, especially working on a plan to bless the millions of Chinese Christians with our resources. With her recent MBA, she will be working on this plan as well as hands-on ministry. To take advantage of this great opportunity, we need to raise support for a modest salary for Karen. We are working on a work visa, but even if that does not come through, Karen will work on this targeted expansion whether she is in China or Thailand. So we request your prayers for this opportunity as well as financial support directly for this specific area of ministry. C. We added a Farsi translation of VerseoftheDay.com along with Arabic and Urdu translations for our brothers and sisters in Christ in predominantly Muslim countries. We ask for your prayers for these believers often found in very hostile and dangerous circumstances. We are looking for good proofreaders in each of these languages to help us improve the readability and understandability in these languages.
