Spiritual Warfare: 'Pray and Confess Your Sins and Your Nation’s Sins'

God's Power for Our Battles — Friday, November 22, 2024

I went on praying and confessing my sin and the sin of my people, pleading with the Lord my God for Jerusalem, his holy mountain.
— Daniel 9:20 NLT

Today's Prayer

Lord, right now I want to confess my own sins and also the sins of my nation and people. We have killed children out of convenience, and we have dishonored Your pattern for marriage and procreation by exercising our choice to elect leaders who endorse and encourage evil practices. Forgive us. Bring us back to You and to the truth. Use me however You chose to aid in this process, and help me to be kind and loving and full of grace as I stand up for Your truths. Help us to be loving to each other—and especially to the unborn—as we live out our lives in faithful obedience. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
