Two powerful messages from Deuteronomy 6:

Our children want and need our personal which can only be given and received when we give them our .cf. Ephesians 5:15-21 -- submitting to each other is part of our worship to God!

It's not about or but both!cf. Mark 3 -- Jesus chose his disciples that they might be with him. In Deut. 6, we see lots of little bits of time strung together!

The key word in Deuteronomy 6 is -- we want to have enough of a relationship that we not only rub off, but that we make a lasting impression in their lives.

Our children must learn from us to choose between good, better, and . Our ultimate goal is to have them learn the "fear of the Lord!" -- Psalm 34:11; Deut. 6:2
