Dr. Paul FaulknerConfessing Faults, by Dr. Paul Faulkner   Real Audio

Sometimes surprisingly, confession is a way of self-preservation. Our tendency is to hide our faults and problems, so stuff it down and choke it in and we starve our soul.

The Bible says to take care of ourselves by confessing our faults one to another so that we can be healed. It's a matter of learning to love ourselves, treating ourselves like we were our best friend.

We may give to everyone else, and then neglect taking care of our own soul! If you do this, you've drifted from true service to others. Your well of hope and joy will run dry, and you are leaving yourself with nothing to draw on to serve others.

So, please, follow God's wise prescription. Take care of yourself.
