Today's Verse for Saturday, October 6, 2012Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.

Thoughts on Today's Verse...Jesus told Peter, "Those who live by the sword will die by the sword." Violence begets violence and rarely does a violent person not have to taste the bitter repayment of violence. God's Wise Man is saying essentially the same thing in this verse, but with one key addition. Blessings come to the person who is righteous. We reap what we sow! Prayer...Holy God, please bless me with righteousness -- not just by your grace and mercy, but by the transformation of my heart by your Holy Spirit. In Jesus' name I ask it. Amen.
