Amy Tracy was in a desperate pursuit for peace, but she never found peace until she stopped running! In describing his conversion to Christ, C.S. Lewis said, “God was the hunter and I was the deer. He stalked me, took unerring aim, and fired.” Amy’s story sounds so similar.

She had resisted God’s love.
Since her college days, Amy has been immersed in a gay lifestyle. She became a militant abortion rights activist. She seemed to have her life so together — good job, success, money, and power. But in the Fall of 1992, Amy sensed a gnawing ache in her heart. She had resisted God’s love. She realized that her job and her friends would not bring her peace. She discovered that she could not run from God’s love. She stopped running. She surrendered her heart and her soul to the Lord Jesus.

What about you? Are you running from God trying to find peace? In the Bible it says that it’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we’re living for. Let Amy’s story remind you that there’s only one way to find peace: stop running and start receiving Jesus’ love.
