The Truth about Happiness

Here's a simple truth about happiness: if you're waiting for it to come along, you'll miss it. The whole notion that we can work at happiness comes as news to many people who are waiting for the right things to happen to them.

Indeed, there is very little correlation between circumstances in people's lives and how happy they are.

One of the biggest things you can do to bring happiness is focus on the good stuff instead of the bad stuff. One bald man focused on the bad stuff when he said, "Every time I walk in a room, all I see is hair!"

One of the things that will help us is just to be grateful for what we've got. Give something away to bless others, be passionate about something, invest in the goodness of God because it's the right thing to do. And you'll be amazed at what happens!

Jesus said it a long, long time ago and it is just as correct now as it was then: "It is more blessed to give than to receive!" (Acts 20:35).
