What’s on the heart of all those parents who, for the first time, walked a precious little one to Kindergarten? It is a perfect combination of joy and sadness, excitement and anxiety. For the first-time Kindergarten parent, it can be a tough day! But we can be sure it is all part of the Master’s plan.

Today my son jumped out of bed with a smile, brushed his teeth without being asked and put on a new shirt.

Today we prayed for him, his classmates and his teacher.

Today he was too grown up to entertain fights with his little brother before school.

Today he made new friends that he may have for the rest of his life.

Today I gave him a special watch that once belonged to his great-grandpa because he would have loved a day like this.

Today some of my favorite people called to say they were praying about our big day.

Today I took my baby to Kindergarten.

Today I watched him introduce himself to two kids and ask them to sit with him.

Today he didn’t need me as much because someone else was there to give instruction and guidance.

Today he is one step closer to figuring out I don’t know everything.

Today is another milestone in becoming the young man the Master has created him to be.

Today I cried all the way home.

Today I’m missing all those Yesterdays.
