Heart MonitorHeart Monitor
by Paul Faulkner

In the Wall Street Journal I read about the proud inventor of the HygeineCard; it’s supposed to make sure that men wash up after using the restroom. It can detect whether a man stands in front of the soap dispenser for at least fifteen seconds, or it registers in the office that he didn’t clean his hands.

God is the controller of the heart.
Folks, clean hands are important in the food industry, but I’m convinced the way to motivate people must come from the heart. Not even the most sophisticated machine can guarantee ethical behavior.

God is the controller of the heart. If you asked me who I want to hire to work for me, it’s the employee who lives by Christian values. It won’t matter to him what kind of machine is checking up on him — he’ll do the right thing, regardless.
