Ready PositionReady Position
by Paul Faulkner

It’s like playing tennis; you’ve got to focus on the essentials ahead of time. You’ve got to concentrate and prepare by getting your feet in the right place, getting your racket back. You’ve got to turn sideways and stay focused on the ball before it ever gets to you. Otherwise, you can’t deliver it where it needs to go. If you wait until the ball is right in front of you to get ready, you’ll either see it whiz right past you, or you’ll knock it cockeyed off in wrong directions.

Preparation needs to be made before issues arrive...
Just so in life, issues come up almost before you know it. Preparation needs to be made before they arrive, or you won’t be in a position to handle them effectively.

That’s where early morning meditation with God comes in. Prayer and time with Him — it’ll correct your stance, tighten your grip, and help you see clearly how to act.
