Never AloneNever Alone
by Paul Faulkner

She told me not too long ago that nothing was working in her life — her daughter had been killed, her husband was unfaithful, and she thought she was about to lose her job.

“When the world crashes in on you,” I asked her, “ to whom do you go?”

The one word that most described her was “alone.”
After a long pause she said, “I guess I just go to myself.”

Later, she said the one word that most described her was “alone.”

Folks, in the end we really are all alone, unless we have a Savior who has promised us and abundant life. Jesus saves us from that wrenching kind of loneliness. He puts His Spirit within us, even into the darkest night of our soul, bearing us up, forgiving us, bringing us peace.

    Isn’t that great news?
