As I was reading Luke in my reflection time, it dawned on me what I had been reading — celebration! Celebrate the Passover and the Feast of Weeks, celebrate the Lord’s days, celebrate the food, celebrate another day of life, celebrate health, celebrate God’s glory!
We have a few days we celebrate, like birthdays, Christmas, New Year’s and the Fourth of July, but if I understand the Bible, it’s not just specific days, but a continual celebration of God’s love, his healing, his care every day. You wake up every day celebrating. Isn’t that neat? You don’t have to wait for Christmas anymore — it’s every day! And all of us who believe come together once a week on the Lord’s day for a special celebration, gathering with each other.
Every day is for celebrating and rejoicing in the day of life, of grace, of forgiveness!
