When Jesus was looking out over the masses of people who needed healing and needed teaching the good news, seeing thousands upon thousands he said, “What a huge harvest! And how few the harvest hands!” He’s saying that it’s an overwhelming job!
So what do you do? Well, a lot of us would say, “Grab your Bibles and run and shout and share and preach!” But the rest of what Jesus said was, “What a huge harvest! And how few the harvest hands! So, on your knees! Ask the God of harvest to send the harvest hands.”
You get the impression that when things are tough and life is impossible and there’s no way to accomplish what needs to be done, it’s “On your knees and ask the God of harvest!”
You see, power is generated through calloused knees.
