Isaac brought her into the tent of his mother Sarah, and he married Rebekah. So she became his wife, and he loved her; and Isaac was comforted after his mothers death. Genesis 24:67 (NIV) So, how did you two meet? My husband hates having to answer this question, so I usually end up telling the story. We met in college during his freshman year and my sophomore year. I saw him as an annoying freshman; I even told my friends he was a dork. He pursued me for a whole year before I finally went out with him. Then I realized he was a pretty nice guy. We dated for a year before we got engaged, and then we got married a year after that. Now I cant believe I almost let him go.
I didnt realize it my sophomore year, but God was our matchmaker, too. After months of turning down Chads offers while asking God to send me the right guy, his answer became pretty clear to me. How is God working to change your life today? God, thank you for bringing my spouse and me together. Thank you for all of your blessings even the ones we may choose to ignore at first. Amen.
