A CEO in England boasted that his equation for success was Half x 2 x 3 = Success. He explained that with half the workforce he could produce twice as many goods with three times the revenues. Now, thats not bad!
But British management philosopher Charles Handy asked, What about those people who were put out of work especially if they are not lazy or unskilled? What about those people who dont have a job do those people figure into the success equation?
Theres a company in Spain called Mondragon. The whole business plan of that company is to find jobs, not primarily to make money! And we need more corporations like that!
Hats off to Charles Handy and Mondragon for teaching the same principle of compassion that Jesus taught in the first century.
