Jack Canfield told the story of the young high school student who was given an assignment his senior year to write a paper about what his dreams for the future were. His paper described his dream of owning a 200-acre horse ranch with stables and tracks, and a 4,000 square foot home. He even drew a diagram of the property and house. He turned the paper in... and two days later it came back with an "F" from the teacher. After being questioned as to why, the teacher said it was "unrealistic" and offered for the boy to rewrite the paper for a better grade. The boy had a decision. Rewrite or take the grade given.
Isnt it interesting how culture, society, and people want to steal our dreams? But God is the one who enpowers our dreams and aspirations. Even Paul the Apostle realized this power of Gods when he wrote this to the Ephesian believers, "Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us" (Ephesians 3:20). Has someone stolen your dream? Interestingly, the Bible has a name for religious dream-stealers Pharisees. Commit your dream anew to God, dont listen to the stealers. |
