    Lord we need to choose roads we can trust to take us to right destinations. The road sign here says “Old Burnt Mill Road”. This road leads not to a promise but a tragic disappointment — to a place that no longer exists. One could walk miles down this road and only come to the charred remains of someone else’s dreams. Yesterday, the sign I passed said “Dead End.” And sometimes there isn’t even a warning. The sign says “Old State Road 3,” but when the state opened the bypass, they just put up a guard rail across the old pavement. Now the road just stops. A promise of a journey that turns out to take you nowhere.
