    For me flying is both a love/hate relationship. I love to fly to my destinations. It is less physically demanding and when I arrive I am more ready to enjoy myself. I hate it because I am not in control and I think of crashing way too often. However, once when I boarded a plane for Cleveland Ohio, the flight attendant started giving the landing speech instead of the take off speech. It must have been a long day for her. Halfway through she caught herself and everyone on board began to snicker.

“I have come that you may have life, more abundant.”

    After we had gotten airborne I thought about her little mistake. All of my life I have known people who’ve talked about landing and yet they have never taken off. I know people who are talking about retirement but have never been active. I know people who are talking about the life hereafter, but who have never had life here.

    Jesus said, “I have come that you may have life, more abundant.” (John 10:10).

    Notice the comma. I would like to ask you today:  Which side of the comma are you living on? So many people never live on the right side, in the abundant area. They just live with no hope, purpose, or meaning above their existence on this sphere Earth. But for those who have Jesus we can really take off and soar to heights that we have never known before. What’s got you grounded?
