There are times when we all need a little motivation to get us going. This is especially true of Christianity. We are filled with motivational style speaking. We have seminars, retreats, revivals, small groups, discipleship groups, camps, ministries, Sunday school, and Sunday morning preaching. Each of these are designed to motivate us spiritually.
How can we do as Jesus did with his disciples and build a fire within someone? We can do it by being that motivational person in their lives. We probably wont accomplish it by mere words, but we can make a huge impact on them by our actions. A motivational person is someone who believes in what s/he says, and believes it so much that we live what we are saying. Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. (Hebrews 13:7-8) |
