In 1889, the town of Johnstown, Pennsylvania experienced a terrible disaster. J.B. Fowler has written about the fateful events that led up to the tragedy.

People failed to heed the warnings.

It seems that a dam was built twelve miles east of the city to control flood waters. Later, the reservoir burst and the waters drowned more than 2,000 people of Johnstown. The even greater tragedy was that fifteen days before the flood, civil engineers reportedly warned citizens of the city that the dam was unsafe. Yet, the people failed to heed the warnings of the engineers. On the day of the flood, a young boy galloped into town on his horse shouting, Run for your lives, the dam has broken! His cries were ignored and less than thirty minutes later, the town and more than 2,000 people were destroyed.
Delay was deadly for the people of Johnstown, Pennsylvania. How much more deadlier is delay in making the right choice about Jesus Christ? Paul promised the Corinthians, Behold, now is the acceptable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation. If there are decisions needed to be made for Christ, dont delay. Make them today!
